Simon also visits primary schools where he is able to recount tales from Dunkirk, the Battle of Britain and the Accrington Pals.Simon retells stories while in period costume. Children are always fascinated by historical topics. So when Simon appears in school, dressed as a Victorian gentleman, or a member of the Tudor gentry from Salmesbury Hall, or even as one of the Accrington Pals from World War 1, history really comes alive for children.
